Poblinger@cinci.rr.com Ken Boniface, M.D.,F.A.C.E.P.: kbonif33@aol.com Tim Drury, M.D.,F.A.C.E.P.: timtock1@hotmail.com This page is designed to give you a short overview of our group. To discover more about our practice, facilities, the Cincinnati area, our physicians and benefits feel free to explore our other web pages listed to the left. Our goal is to allow for a sustained, fulfilling and lifelong practice of Emergency Medicine. Thus, the primary reason we are actively recruiting new physicians is our commitment to provide a flexible schedule of eight, ten and twelve hour shifts. We, like you, are in this for the “long haul” and are making every attempt to reduce the possibility of “burnout”. Scheduling is egalitarian with ample opportunities to request specific time or days off, as well as specific patterns of preferred workloads. QESI /CORPORATE STRUCTURE We feel that our group has evolved and matured over time and has been responsive to the changing needs and desires of the individual members of the group. The corporate structure of our group has been dynamic and has undergone several changes based upon vision and growth. We consider our group to be democratic, thereby allowing individual input into the practice of Emergency Medicine. Our group functions very similar to that of other group practice models. We maintain our individual autonomy by maintaining a fee-for-service billing arrangement and income is productivity based. Partnership within the group structure is available after one year of full-time employment.. Most physicians will settle-in one or two hospitals as their primary areas of practice which is also beneficial for the hospitals by providing a “core group” that is dedicated to that particular facility and/or system. Our group is structured sot that those physicians who practice at similar facilities with similar concerns have input into that area of practice, but are not burdened with meetings or concerns of the other hospitals. Three Divisions have been developed. One comprised of the East side of Cincinnati, MERSI Division, which includes physicians active at Mercy Hospital-Anderson and Mercy Hospital-Clermont. The FESI Division, the west side of the city, includes Mercy Franciscan Hospital Western Hills and Mercy Franciscan Mt. Airy. And the third Division, TESI, includes the physicians who practice at the TriHealth facilities of Good Samaritan Hospital and Bethesda North Hospital. As members of these divisions, the individual physicians share the dividends of that division, as well as any active decision making done democratically within that division. Each division maintains its own budget to provide reimbursement to physicians for educational activities and “extracurricular” activities deemed appropriate for maintaining and improving the group practice. Financial arrangements between the Corporation, Divisions, and individual physicians can be discussed further upon request. A full menu of benefits is available including life, health, disability, malpractice insurance, longevity bonus, and a qualified retirement program. We believe the fee-for-service and productivity based income arrangement allows for equality among members. It allows any new member to function on an equal level from his/her first day on the job. Again thank you for your interest in our group. We are extremely proud of our physician group, our hospitals and our city. More detailed information regarding benefits and the corporate structure can be explained during a personal interview or telephone contact. Please feel free to send an email to our Administrative Assistant, Linda Lindsey address: LLindseys@msn.com and include a telephone number so that she may contact you personally.
