| THE FACILITIES
We presently staff six hospital emergency departments. Our facilities range from an urban Level 1 Trauma teaching facility to a semi-rural community hospital emergency department with three suburban emergency departments in between. This diversity of the hospitals allows each emergency physician to tailor his practice to his own style and personal preferences. Our group attempts, as much as is feasible, to allow physicians to "settle in" to one or two base institutions within the three divisions, and to rotate at their own comfort level to other facilities.
These facilities are members of two healthcare networks: Mercy Health Care System (Mercy Franciscan Western Hills, Mercy Franciscan Mt. Airy; Mercy Hospital-Anderson, Mercy Hospital-Clermont); TriHealth System (Bethesda North Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital). QESI has remained supportive of our hospitals in the present environment of restructuring, by maintaining an active commitment to both the hospitals and the community they serve. Representatives from our group are appointed to numerous medical staff committees at each facility. Because of the high quality of care that is provided and the strong commitment to the hospitals, we have been able to foster a strong and long-lasting relationship between our group, the medical staff, and the administration of each institution. As mentioned previously, we also staff a free-standing urgent care/occupational medicine facility. This exposure to occupational medicine through the urgent care centers is viewed as a positive aspect by many of our physicians who choose to work there. We are extremely proud of the facilities we staff, all of which have been renovated to what is considered state of the art facilities within the past five years. They offer superior emergency department nursing, laboratory, radiology and ancillary testing departments. Our groups commitment to developing innovative approaches to providing care in our current managed care environment has resulted in the development of FastTrack/ExpressCare areas to improve patient wait times. In addition to a unified approach to occupational medicine for several of our facilities.
