Qualified Emergency Specialists, Inc was formed in 1984 by physicians trained and committed to the specialty of Emergency Medicine. The philosophy of the group was, and has remained, to provide the highest quality of emergency medical care in a group practice setting that recognizes the individual needs of emergency physicians.

As such, the group has exclusively recruited physicians who are residency trained in the specialty of Emergency Medicine.  We have successfully incorporated physicians who are not residency trained in the specialty of Emergency Medicine, but all of our physicians who practice in the Emergency Department are Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. As our group has evolved, a corporate structure has emerged that allows for individual autonomy enhanced by collective strength and security.

QESI, a Cincinnati based practice, presently staff six hospital emergency departments in the  TriHealth and Mercy Health Systems.  As well as two free-standing Urgent Care/Occupational medicine facilities associated with these two Health Systems. The location and practice settings of these facilities allows for diversity, while maintaining the highest quality of care. We are very proud of our state of  the art facilities and our reputation for providing high quality Emergency Medicine care.
